GHS To Require ID From All Visitors

POSTED: 9:37 am EDT September 30, 2008

Beginning Wednesday, Greenville Hospital System will become the first hospitals in the Upstate to require visitors to show their identification.

The hospital system's "fast pass" program will issue a temporary badge with a visitor's picture and in the hospital.

Hospital officials said that visitors will be required to show a driver's license or other government-issued identification.

The process will take about a minute, hospital officials said, and will make GHS safer for patients and employees.
