This event is an annual race we put on to raise money for our scholarship campaign, so we do not have to turn anyone away for membership due to inability to pay. It will be a half marathon going through the Travelers Rest community, as well as a shorter 5K race.

January 5, 2009 – 6pm
This training teaches concerned citizens how to become advocates for abused and neglected children. The training is free, and is held Monday and Thursday evenings from 6-9pm through January 29. The classes will teach you how to become a powerful and effective advocate for children involved with DSS and the Family Courts. Our volunteers spend time one on one with children, learning what they want, and then work to make that happen for them. In just 4-6 hours per month, you can make a difference in the life of an abused child by becoming a volunteer.

13 week series of seminars and support groups for men and women that are dealing with the pain of separation or divorce. The program is biblical based. The group will meet until March 29, 2009. Child care is provided. The program is free.
